Contract for Services
Purpose:
This Letter of Agreement, made on May 4, 2022 between Tiffany King (Owner/Operator of Dancers 4 Life) in Tuscaloosa, AL, herein referred to as “Client”, and Eryn Cade, herein referred to as “Artist” is a legally binding contract that states that the Artist agrees to render services of creating and delivering dance choreography for the Client, and the Client agrees to pay the Artist for their services and adhere to the following:
Description of Project:
Artist to choreograph multiple competition dances for Client at their studio in Tuscaloosa, AL
Timeline for Project: Project will begin May 22nd, with rehearsals meeting on Fridays at 3:30pm-5:30pm. End date of project to be determined mutually between Client and Artist.
Compensation:
Choreography for the following:
● Solos- $100/minute
● Groups- $200/minute
Choreography Packages Details:
Solos and Duos/Trios
● 3 hours of rehearsal/setting/creating
● Up to 2.5 minutes of choreographed work
Small Groups (5 - 8 Dancers)
● 4 hours of rehearsal/setting/creating
● Up to 3 minutes of choreographed work
Large Groups (9 or More Dancers)
● 4.5 hours of rehearsal/setting/creating
● Up to 3 minutes of choreographed work
Additional Rehearsal/Setting Hourly Rates: $50 (Solos); $65 (Duos/Trios/Sm Grp); $85 (Lg Grp) Coaching and Cleaning Rates: $50/hr (All Group Sizes)

Security Deposit / Reservation Fee
Client agrees to submit a security deposit/reservation fee in order to reserve the services and availability of the Artist. This deposit/fee shall be a minimum of 15% of the total expected compensation, and will be credited toward the total amount owed. The Artist may request increased deposit/fee for more expensive contracts or longer duration residencies. Refundability of this fee will not be considered but if the Artist cancels scheduled work at any time, 100% of deposit/reservation fee will be refunded.
Additional Agreement Policies
Work Scope Agreement:
Artist and Client have discussed and established scope of the work expected for the duration of the agreement. Scope of the work may change during this period only if and when both parties are notified in advance and both agree to the amendments.
Work Product Agreement:
The Artist grants limited perpetual usership of all creative and intellectual work created for, delivered to, and fully compensated for by The Client. The Artist retains the right to revoke the usership of the creative property if:
● The original work has been altered without permission of The Artist and no longer represents the intention of The Artist
● The Client gives or promotes creative credit/program billing for the work to anyone other than the Artist
● The Client licenses/grant the work for commercial economic gains to another party
Compensation:
Artist and Client have mutually agreed upon terms of compensation as outlined in this document. The Artist reserves the right to modify rates for additional work or additional usage requested after the initial agreement.
Payments:
The Client agrees to pay the Artist based on a mutually agreed upon pay schedule to be outlined below. Payments can be made via Cash or Check. If a check is returned for insufficient funds (“Bounced Checks”) a fee of $50 will be incurred for each. In the event that the Client fails to submit a payment to the Artist.
Late Payment Fees: If payment is more than 3 days late, the fee will increase by each day (excluding business days). Additionally, if the payment is more than 7 days late, Artist will cease rendering services until payments are satisfactorily completed.
Legal Action Policy:
For any payment that is late by 14 days or more, legal recourse will be pursued to secure payment. The Artist will pursue to the fullest extent of the law all available legal actions to recover any debts owed by the Client. Should the Artist need to take legal action, the Client will bear all associated administrative and any state and/or federal court fees in the state of Alabama. The Artist will pursue all debts owed until they have been satisfied.
Artistic Control: If requested, Client and Artist can negotiate any choreography, costuming, music, or lighting.
Royalties: Client can request to perform choreography over time but payment will be discussed with the Artist for each time it is performed
Signatures:
The undersigned parties confirm receipt and understanding of this contract and agree to its terms and conditions. Client agrees to pay Artist for all services rendered and adhering to the payment timeline and rates outlined above.
